Jeez nice bucks!

I was thinking like most of the guys that some good bucks would be posted but not all those hogs.

Congrats on some awesome deer!

I'd say!!!

Man, great deer!!! You must have them pretty well patterned up there. Great looking bucks and you must be a pretty good shot...you can't miss too many times and shoot that many good ones!!

Congrats, welcome to the site...look forward to your input..

I, too, can testify how tough it is to film and how stressful and how much work it can be trying to get a quality animal on film like that...although, my quality animals have been nothing like yours!!

How much did that giant 8 score?? wowsas

Super bucks Man!!!

Welcome to the site...your in good company! /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

welcome, congrats....
and
HOLY BALLS!!!!
(eyes bulging out of my head)

Kaare, talk this fella into PMA, he'd love that too!!!!

Glad you're here man!!! look forward to some more monsters!!!

It's funny talking to Dan, he doesn't give himself near full credit for his hard work and great bucks..he has shot some dandies.

I love the early yrs pics too, tyhe first buck and that teenage middle of the head hair part one.lol

Like I said, he works at his obsession, he's got big sheds and monsters on trail cam to prove his tme spent chasing our favorite game animal.

Welcome to the site Dean. Your modesty is a "breath of fresh air". There are plenty of us who could learn from you. Keep doing what you're doing and looking forward to more.

Man, thanks again all. Gracious comments here not all deserved. I figure if you sit in a tree long enough something good has to walk by, so I sit there. lol.

It is funny, I hunt mostly alone, with my wife now a bit, and one old friend of my fahters, but mostly because no one that has ever came out could keep up..Not physical endurance wise, but the 7 days a week 365 a year that I like to be out there. The only guy or two i have ever been out with wear out fast. Sheds, trail cams, sitting the edge of a field, it doesnt matter, things just dont seem right unless it has something to do with whitetails, and I thought i maybe had a mental problem...maybe I do, but seing all of you here, well at least I'm not the only one!! LOL

I might have missed the answer to this BUT, are all those deer from Saskatchewan? Either way, IMPRESSIVE! I just have heard bow hunting is super hard there (for some obvious reasons like possibly low deer numbers, big timber in some areas, some areas with lower amounts of food & how STINKING COLD IT IS!!!). Amazing pics no matter where you got those though!

*I'm curious of the type of area if it is Sask? Lower part where there are more crops? Deer numbers, pressure, bow-hunter pressure, etc. /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Yes all Saskatchewan. The terrain is a mix of ag and light timber, about 50/50 split. Very high hunter pressure.

I'm not sure why you heard it either, but I wouldnt say its any harder to bowhunt sask than anywhere else, except compared to midwest US we have very liberal gun seasons which make it hard on us bowhunters

I have some buddies that had to go way NORTH and it was all timber, super low deer numbers. In big timber they had trouble with funnels, big differences in terrain, etc., I personally find areas with crop land breaking things up far "easier" to hunt. Sounds like your area is similar to Southern Iowa in someways, 50/50 split, sounds awesome!

I know all states in midwest I hunt get slammed pretty darn hard with pressure, I used to live in MI where it was hard to get a buck past 1 & 1/2 years old, you'd see 20 guys hunting a square mile with regularity, orange everywhere you look. Thankfully there's some other states that also have high pressure but manage much better and have far later gun seasons that let some bucks get by. nice pics again!

"still waiting for a hawg"... I guess three to five of the deer you've posted must not count then /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif b/c if they're not hawgs than I can't wait for you to harvest one either.

Great resume, I like the progression...as you got bigger so did the bucks...kind of shows you've learned some patience over the years. Thanks for sharing.
