A few weeks ago, a co-worker had talked me into making her a small knife for her cowboy action shooting attire. While I was building her blade I went ahead and made a few for myself to give away as gifts.
She wanted a bone handle on her's but I wanted to use osage on mine.
The blades are made from an old buzz saw blade that was pitted from rust. I removed all the pits on the bone handled knife but decided on mine to leave some as I felt it added some character.
Both blades have "Vine" file work on the blades spine.
Several more are in progress but will be awhile before I get back to them.
The osage on this knife came from our very own Skully, and he said that the fence posts he got the wood from are 60 years old.
Old steel, old wood make a good combination.
