good crowd on saturday. cruising the aisles, i was thinking, "damn, quite a few people, but its really moving along nice".........until you hit the scnetlok booth, with don and kandi kisky, and lee and tiffany lakosy. there was quite a backlog of people talking to lee and tiff. and another row of people, just standing there, staring at tiffany....sad to say, that was my row. (i'll take more crap about that later, i'm sure).

then you can see the banner above the booth of iowawhitetail. and the crowd slows. you start to peek over the people infront of you and start seeing some familiar faces. by the time you actually hit the booth, you have spotted all the people whose names you know, and have met someone new (or two). the crowd is so big at the booth, its 10-15 degrees warmer at the booth, than anywhere else at the classic. (well, maybe not, i start to sweat if i get with in 15 feet of tiffany).

one thing struck me. i overheard onecam trying to explain the site to someone that had no idea what we were. chris is telling him we are just a group of people passionate about deer hunting, swapping stories, and sharing tips about hunting. and as i looked over the crowd standing around the booth, i thought, that to the common person, we must look like a bunch of idiots. a big gathering of deer crazed goofs with too much time on our hands. and then, i looked over the crowd again, and saw people who have never seen each other face to face, talking like they were best friends back in highschool, and thought, to some of us, we are a little more than deer obsessed weirdos..........

so, today is the last day, if you aren't snowed in, get off your ass and head to the classic. the booth is awesome, the merchandise is selling like hotcakes, chris has some cutties ringing up sales (i hear one has a boyfriend around here, and the other one, as long as tiffany isn't around, i might be in love with
wink.gif
) and there a TON of monster bucks on display. you can see, live and in person, the buck that SWEPT the IBA awards banquet, the infamous taylor hircock buck!

come on down. i have to see if i can bust enough drifts to pick up my nephew and show him the "big bucks"
see ya there

Wish I could have experienced that first hand but it just wasn't going to happen coming down 35 from MN. We didn't even hit the Iowa border and we turned around, man it was a mess on the road with cars in the ditch every mile yesterday. A normally 5 hour drive for us would have been 7-8. Is there anyway someone could snag me on of those long sleeve t shirts (XL) if they are still available? I'll send you the $$??

No dought my favorite part of the classic is seeing all the IWT friends and meeting new ones. There truely isn't a nicer bunch of guys down there.

Or staring at her as she walked by our table numerous times at the banquet!
Glad you made a day out of it.

As my first classic, I was impressed. Next year I'll have to save some money before them. My only complaint is that the booth ran outta t-shirts under Large. My buddy was treated less than friendly by the two ladies working the booth. I however thought they were great and hope that they are there next year. Also another note, Tiff smiled at me when Lee wasn't looking. We had a moment!

Friday night the place was pretty empty, so I had fun drilling Tiffany on carbon clothing and how it can't possibly be reactivated in a homeowners dryer. She said she was glad when I changed the subject. These forums are great way of educating us about products. Until carbon experts got on these forums and explained the properties of carbon, I might have fell into wasting my money on the stuff. I spent a lot of $$ on my Gray Wolf Woolens, but I can tell it will last for many years. I also learned about Gray Wolf Woolens from the forums. Lots of learning to be had on these forums.

I'm glad I had slobber rags and drool buckets for you boys. I mighta been in the same boat but my wife kept the boys with her at home. I felt nothing when "The Tiff" walked by except the respect a fellow hunter feels for another.

Quick, somebody check my pulse, I think I'm dead.

The classic was great this year. Seems like the quality of the show gets better every year. Took my 8 and 3 yr. old and they had a blast. Definitely worth the trip.

O.k somethings that I want to complain about here.

1. Where in the hell were the "hotties" when I bought my merchandise, onecam sold me mine.

2. Why didn't I call in sick to work Saturday night? Nothing better then getting a text message on my phone telling me that tiffany was sitting 10 ft away from the table I was suppose to be sitting at.

Other then those 2 gripes the classic was with a doubt a great time again this year.

Don't worry LX, the guy who bought your ticket enjoyed sitting so close to Tiff! And just think, you discounted the ticket to me and I'm sure being that close to her could have maybe brought a premium

BJ what in the hell were you thinkin? I thought about invitin here to the milo bar but figured it was too high class...

The Milo bar is a damn fine place. It ran out of Capt Morgan and fed me some rum that was so old and cheap they gave it to me for free just as long as I don't sue them if I die. Oh how I love a place like that, seriously
