Thanks for the compliments everybody. I really recommend this hunt as a nice change. There are thousands of these guys in Wyoming and you can see them all day long. The problem is getting close. We've tried stalking, decoying, and sitting in blinds. I ended up getting this one out of a blind. Practice a lot and if you can, be prepared for 50 yard shots. I know that seems like a looong shot for us here, but you'll be thankful if you can get there consistently. Luckily this one offered me a 30 yard shot. they are really neat looking animals, I'm glad I finally got to look at one up close. As for how the steaks taste, I'll let you know later this fall, but I'm sure they won't compare to nice Iowa doe backstraps. Good luck this fall!
