With dad and me not having much luck sitting in a stand this late ML season, we decided to take a different approach today. Dad told me to still hunt my way to a part of the woods were I could sit and see and meanwhile he went around and still hunted his way my direction, hoping to maybe bump deer towards me. After sitting there for about an hour and a half, AT LEAST 40 deer came running my direction. Now I'm frantic trying to find a buck and there are deer everywhere. I found a smaller buck that I was thinking about shooting, right before I pulled the trigger I spotted a few more comming my direction, and I was able to get this guy right in the heart. We ranged it after we got the deer in the truck and It was around 110 yards. A quick measure of the rack and he came in close to 151" gross. This was a really nice way to end the season considering this would have been my last day to hunt!
