BG1 Board acting up

Limb Chicken

Ok boys. New battery. When I turn it on there is about 8 blinks in succession then it will just take pictures every minute. I am about ready to throw the damn thing in the lake. Help me... /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

I had a BG2 do the same thing and finally found a bad ground connection. With the onboard batt. holder I don't know if it could be the same on the BG1. Worth a look.

Its possible. It also could be the sensitivity pot. Id also try removing the chip and put it back in.

or send it my way.

Yea... How do I do that? /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

very carefully!

use a samll screwdriver and pry it out. Note the chip orientation and make sure it goes back in the same way. There is a notch on the top side. Btw is on the underside of the board.

Sorry,
Im mouse hunting. Gota go.

PM me your address... /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

Good luck with that mouse. I wish they made traps for those damn things... /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/tired.gif

Vman's certainly a better source than myself but a few other thoughts to throw into the mix. Did you adjust the sensitivity dial recently? If so try backing it down. Interesting that it's snapping a pic once/minute though. If that's repeatable to about a true minute each time it sounds more like it could be a connection issue causing a pic every time it refreshes or the delay reaches it's end. Did it take on some rain recently? If so, might just try unpluggin connections and using a hair dryer without getting carried away, and dry it out. Inspect the connections at either the servo or stereo jack, whichever you used for corrosion.

Hey,
You didn swap cameras with another unit did you?

On the mouse,
Sometimes you just have to talk things into your own hands.

Right now the score is
Vman 8 mouse 1

No, and I jacked something up real bad now... /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

I am doing what I should have done in the first place. It will be in the mail tomorrow... /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cool.gif

I had the exact same thing happen with one of my BG1's a couple years ago, I sent it to Brian Gennings (BG) from Hags house and he just sent me a new board, and said he would mess with it when he got the chance. Muddy now has that unit, I assume it is still working for him?

Yes, though this year it is only attracting does, fawns, dinks, horses, spiders, groundhogs, coons, and rabbits. I tried to send you a really sweet picture of a coon licking itself but the email address back fired.

Chicken....
Dont feel alone, mine is doing the exact same thing right now! I might have to send it back to Ironwood for some work. Its really p!ssing me off. If you could V-man post what the problem is to help us other guys out.

Ok...now I'm curious...

I have one that takes pictures one after another and then stops for awhile, then takes them repeatedly again.

Thought it was the battery but that didn't help, so maybe it's got the same "aliment".

I have an extra board so I guess I should swap it and see if that corrects it, but I'd like to hear Vman's thoughts on what actually is wrong with Limb's board (before he really messed it up... /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif )
