One of my friends told me some of his group got pulled over during shotgun season and were about to get checked for loaded guns. One of them had the number for one of the State Dnr officers and called them. He told the officer that was about to write the tickets that they might as well not write them because they will be "torn up" meaning the would not hold up in court pretty much. All of the hunters had their permit to carry so were ok to have guns loaded and uncased in their vehicles. From what I have heard the only way you may get a ticket is if it is clear you are chasing "pursuing" the deer with your vehicle.
