I'm in the process of trying to de-buckthornsome of my ground. I'm getting some cost share funds from NRCS and can buy some new tools. I'm looking for a tool that i can go through a large amount of buckthorn. I'm working with about a 120 acres that has the buckthorn pocketed throughout.
Anyway, I don't want to spend days bent over cutting this crap with a chain saw. I've used the cutting head for my ryobi trimmer and didnt' like that. I'm looking at a STIHL with a blade on the bottom but have heard mixed reviews. I have eveything from small sprouts to tree's of buckthorn. The bigger stuff i will take with the chainsaw but its the 2 inch and less stuff I want a differernt tool for. Any input on what would be good for this job would be great. Thanks guys!!!
