I dipped Cope for many years. I'd swallow what it in or out of the stand for the most part. Killed some good bucks while doing it. Deer probably don't relate the smell of it to humans. On the other hand it is an unfamiliar smell they may react to.
I quit about 7-8 years ago. best thing I ever did. Consider it, not just as a hunter.
As for thinking it would calm you down. I'm left wondering what the hack has you so hyped up? I find it relaxing and calming, even boring at times!
I dipped ALOT! I don't think it would ward off buck fever.
Anxiety and the control of it is just another facit of hunting that must be delt with.
If you need a nicotine fix while hunting take a small gatorade bottle along for spit and spent chew.
