The ballistics for tc shockwave bullets? 250 polymer tip shooting 100 grains of powder. I can't seem to find it on the net anywhere and I am trying to sight my knight muzzleloader in. Thanks in advance.

Plug in some numbers here to learn your trajectory. 4" high at 100 sounds good as long as you never go any higher. Some recommend a 4" high trajectory to give you the maximum point blank range on a deer (hold dead on and you will be no more than 4" high until it drops to 4" low at X yardage).
I would almost think a .54 cal would be better suited to handle a little more powder than a .50. With that being said my friend shoots a .54 with 80 grains of loose powder. Seems a bit on the lite side to me, but it seems to do the trick. I have seen it put an elk down. Whatever works. I must agree with Shredder - no point in shooting 150 grains out of a .50 cal in my opinion.
When I zeroed my Encore this year I took the chronograph along for the heck of it and played with powder charges. This is what I came up with using a 250gr Shockwave or Hornady SST (same bullet).

I dont recall exactly but moving from 2 pellets to 125 gr of loose put the bullet about 7"-8" higher at 100 yards. Dead on at 100 yards was approx 3" low at 150 with 125gr. Groups were 1.5"@ 100, 2.5" @ 150. Never tried 150gr. Recoil increases noticably with each increase in powder. I finally settled on 125 grains.
