Sounds like it was great all over and for all species. I know it is a good day pike fishing if your hands bleed. Well between the beer and the pike cuts, I damn near ended up dead on Sunday.
When I post some pics tonight, any pike fishermen here will be envious.

Jordan,...please share some pictures of your Pike too. We would love to see the pictures. You are certainly an enthusiastic young outdoorsman with lots to share! Thanks!
Went to the cabin with the father in law, he's a die hard walleye guy and they were hammering on Sat. I had my mind on pike but there was no way i was stearing him away from the "eyes". here is one of the better ones we caught and put back.
Sunday brought rain and wind and thankfully the walleye shut off. I convinced him to head for the back end of a big bay in 4 feet of water to find big pike. I started chucking a big crankbait and the 3rd cast paid off with a 12 lb fish. After that I smacked them steady, fish b/w 10 and 16 lbs, not even sure how many I boated and threw back.
One of the fish drove a hook into my hand at boatside and after ripping out some flesh I decided to pinch the barbs. I said I may regret it this summer. I regretted it less than an hr later when I lost a fish that was 20 lbs plus right beside the boat. Oh well it was going back anyways. Fish like this old girl are over 20 yrs old and have to go back in my books if we want to keep catching big fish in the years to come.
Behind family and whitetails, there is nothing like pike violently smashing a crank boatside and peeling out of there. On Sunday I was living.
You don't realize how much I envy you Kaare....if I could convince my wife to move (not that I would want to leave the US), I would be your next door neighbor
