Frustrated!!!!

I just spent an hour at Scheel's trying to buy deer tags. I walked out of there without 3 January antlerless tags that I had hoped to buy. For some reason the system wouldn't sell them to me. Hello, DNR, you want to sell tags, right? You want the does shot, right? You could have had $36 more of my money today. I'm sure you'll get more eventually but best business practices say take the money now. I find nothing in the regs that says I shouldn't be able to buy these tags now. ARRGGGHHHHHH!

I've stood in line waiting while others went through the same type of deal and it is frustrating.

One guy was just trying to buy an antlerless tag and they ended up calling in to get it straightened out.

I haven't tried buying tags online but I wonder if it would be less frustrating?

Online is no better...when you could buy more doe tags i waited up till midnight cause my county was about out..and even on the internet they wouldnt sell them to me..stupid system..but with everything, there are bugs im sure

I know when I first got mine at the beginning of September they would only let me buy three tags total. I had to buy the reat of them after September 15.

Online is the only way to go. I won't hardly buy a tag or license otherwise - even your regular hunting and fishing license is easy to do online. Half the time when I'd stop in the local grocery store or lumber yard to get my license/tags I ended up reading the directions and doing it myself because the cashier would always end up frustrated...

i usually try to get mine at the county courthouse, just because i know i won't get someone that has little or no experience on the machine

For everyone's info: I just got an email reply from Mr. Suchy. He said to try buying only 2 tags of the same type at a time (I was trying to buy 3). Good info to tell the person running the system when you try to purchase tags. The new ELISA system will overcome this systems shortcomings.

Someone suggested buying on-line, but I want it to be a cash transaction.
