Finally talked the wife into moving out a ways to some larger acreage we will be leaving a great school system/ good place for kids. Does anyone know of an area that stands out their mind for good schools, any low crime? Good place to raise a family where you can afford some acreage with good deer hunting.I lean a little toward the South Central, or anywhere on the East side of Iowa. Thanks in advance.

Africa??

How far south you want to go? Further the better, but I think it is getting expensive down there if you can find a place! Talk to shredder about the East side, he is from there!

Don't come down here...it's terrible dangerous...the police report is always full...cows out in the road, possum on somebodies porch....very dangerous area...you never know what's going to happen next

I can't imagine any rural areas of Iowa having a crime problem or poor schools. You might do a little research on if any hog confinements are being planned before you decide on any certain area...building them left and right down here. Not dangerous...unless your downwind

Anywhere in Iowa is good, or shall I say better than anywhere else?

Southwestern Iowa is also a good spot. Lots of timber and also lots of farm land. I guess we kinda got it all.. about the schools... hmmm I go to CAM dont recomend it, lots of schools around here are very small. The best bet for schools would be in the bigger towns. Atlantic is a good school. I will be attending it my junior and senior years. But I would NEVER leave where I live. The hunting/fishing/trapping is all to great for me.

Eastern Iowa isn't bad, but expensive land wise and super hard to find a place to hunt. I would rather go South Central if given the choice.
