My question really is about WT management but I was wondering what would be a good lawn seed to put down on freshly tore up grown around someone house this time of year to help with errosion and will last if the farmer doesnt get seed layed down next year. Thanks for any inputs.

If it's for a lawn I imagine any good brand of lawn seed would be fine. If it's only temp. for now, maybe wheat or rye to hold the soil for now.

Thanks Dbltree and the reason I asked this question is because the landscaper doing the work for my neighbor said it was to late to plant any grasses around the house that is all dirt and nothing else. Thanks

August thru September is an excellent time to establish a lawn or any type of cool season grass or legume.
Tell him to get with the program!
