I have used the walmart ones before and they work pretty good. I was cleaning out the basement last night and found these that my dad gave me along time ago. They work pretty good and they are reuseable.

"Hand Warmer" is JUNK.
I buy 10-15 a year maybe. There usually 1.00 for 2. JUNK, I havent found a one that gets very warm in the last couple years. When I first started hunting they were too warm to hold onto very long, and they had a warning not to use anywhere on bare skin except hands. They may keep your hands from going numb but thats about it. Several this year I had didnt even work, and I dont think the package was damaged.
Just my .02 worth.

But we sell the HOT HANDS ones and they are the best I have found! We sell a ton of them(mostly to me) I guess I am a puss, but I like putting my hands in my handwarmer belt thing and sitting all day without ever putting on gloves! If you can find HOT HANDS, they are the route to go! I think Mernards sells that brand as well and you can buy them in a big pack! They stay good for a long time in the package. Now that is a good idea. I assume you want as much of the air sucked outa the bag as you can get to stop the reaction.

Hot Hands get my vote too! I use one in my handwarmer, and one on top of my toes between my liner sock and wool sock. I can sit through most anything with that combo and they last through my all day sits!
I bought a box a few years back, not Hot Hands brand but another. The next season it was hit & miss on packages that made it through and still heated up. Not sure the shelf life on them. I've just bought new ones each year ever since.

I knew I should of typed it differently.
I meant to say: I am heading to Cedar Rapids in a few short minutes and I can stop by and pick up the key from Andy and get some Hot Hands warmers for you and bring them to your door so your hands and feet do not freeze tonight or tomorrow morning so you can shot the next World Record. /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

I like the Cabela’s Wind Stopper Muff. It has a pocket for a hand warmer. My hands/fingers have never gotten cold using this set up. Place the disposable type hand warmers in the pocket and relax and wait for the deer to come to you.

I'll second this-the brand and the tip. I've found that you can use them more than a couple times. I try to squeeze as much of the air out of the bag as I can.
