Home Burns

I just thought I’d get on here and let you all know that nicerack's home burnt in a devastating fire today. Nobody was injured but they will loose nearly everything and the house will require extensive rehab. I have offered to help in anyway he needs it but it sounds like the insurance company is taking very good care of them and for now they are just trying to get over the shock of it all. He’ll be with out a computer for a few days. He joked about that a little, stating everybody here would probably enjoy the break from his presence. I am not sure what else to say, but I sure feel like I need to do something more.

Sorry to hear Doug...let me know if there is anything I can do!!! I hope all is well with you and your family and that you did not suffer a huge loss. Although some things seem irreplaceable, it is your life and your families that are the the most important and the "expendable" items can be recovered in time.

Holy schnikies! That is horrible. Doug/Mike let me know if there is anything I can do!

I'm sorry to hear that Doug, that is devastating. If there is anything I can do just give me a call. My thoughts are with you and your family, I hope everything gets settled

Ironwood,

Please tell Doug how truly sorry am I am to hear of the loss of his family’s home. I can only hope that no one was injured.

I know from my own first hand experience of a house fire how devastated and empty a person feels once the shock has worn off.

If Doug needs any first hand advice as to how to deal with an insurance company during the settlement phase please send me a PM. I will give you my phone number and we can talk about it. I learned a lot, negotiate, and don’t just settle with them! They are very flexible if one stands firm.

Ron

Thats terrible Doug, glad to hear your family is fine. I dont even know what to say, that just sucks.

Aw man, that really stinks, what was the cause of it. PM if you need anything... Glad your family is safe and with out injury...

What about the sheds, I hope you haven't lost everything...

I'm so sorry to hear that Doug.

Your family will be in my prayers.

Sorry to hear the bad news, wishing you and your family the best at such a difficult time, keep the faith.

I'm very soory to hear that. There was a kid I knew that him and his partnet's house burned on Christmas Day. I'm very sorry what happend.

If anyone knows of a house that could be rented for an extended period of time, in NW Des Moines let me know ASAP. They are going to have a place to stay but Doug has expressed a desire to be in a rental house close to his current home. A PM would be the best way to reach me. I'll share all of your replies with him and if he does need anything that we can help him with I'll bring it to you all right here.

Very bad deal ... sorry to hear it,but I'm glad everyone is o.k. It sounds like you have some good people here to support you in your time of hardship. Hunters are just good people! If I can help I will also.
Dan.
