Looks like a great setup. lol.
Conversely, the tower blind is also on the opposing neighbors fence line and then sounds like it may be ?leased? to out of staters who took enough offense to it that they sent the property owner a picture. No hypocrisy at all, right?I guess I’ll stir the pot a little. Does the tower blind mean the neighbors can’t sit on their side of the fence right there. Maybe that’s the best spot for them with a certain wind?
Actually- the neighbor gave my buddy permission to hunt on his- so the tower blind is a moot point in the scheme of things. Was a bit more of a joke picture, but they don’t have permission to shoot onto his. If that makes any sense. Also the way the property lays- the only shooting from that spot is onto my buddies. So without context, I understand you don’t know that- but I did think the picture was comical (mainly the blanket)Conversely, the tower blind is also on the opposing neighbors fence line and then sounds like it may be ?leased? to out of staters who took enough offense to it that they sent the property owner a picture. Got it. Yes, blanket was a great touchActually- the neighbor gave my buddy permission to hunt on his- so the tower blind is a moot point in the scheme of things. They are in the wrong profession then and I would call their superior. They don't get to worry about stirring the local pot, they are public servants of the law. I guess I've got one of the good ones?Comes down to the ambition of the conservation officer. Some don't want to stir the pot or come after friends/neighbors. As I noted earlier, you have to press some of them to get action. In your case, a desired outcome was quick and painless (for you)
100% you have a good one. They are in the wrong profession then and I would call their superior. They don't get to worry about stirring the local pot, they are public servants of the law. I guess I've got one of the good ones?
They certainly are spread very thin across the state. It's unfortunate, I've always had great relationships with COs in the areas I hunt.
IDNR website: "The Law Enforcement Bureau has 90 conservation officers including six supervisors, six recreational safety officers, and 78 field officers."
One of those six is who I would call if my local CO refuses to help when given good intel, pictures, proof, etc.
