I'll be using you diehard iowawhitetail fellas as an example at our men's Sunday night study this-coming weekend. Don't worry, it's a good example.

The majority of the guys are outdoorsmen and I think the illustration will work well.

Will you be mentioning Fishbonker? I suppose it depends on whether you plan to discuss the depravity of man.

I always say, "I'm just that much closer to God at twenty feet in my treestand".

Hey, now did I deserve a comment like that?

Well of course I did. Momma don't let your babies grow up to be 'Bonkers....

The 'Bonker

I'd like to hear more about it also. We just had a sportsmens dinner last Friday at our church, 585 sportsmen and women had dinner, seminars, vendors and a good time

I love that!
I told my wife that one and she thinks that should be made into a poster!

A friend of mine and I are considering doing the same thing at a upcoming study. We are kicking around the idea of trying to get the outdoorsman together to do an outdoorsmans ministry. Let us know how it goes.

You wouldn't happen to be going through the book Wild at Heart would you?

Not sure if you were asking me or not, but we are talking about it. There is a series with his first and second books and a DVD also. I have already read the first, and will be starting the second here this weekend.

For a short glimpse, we'll be discussing the importance of brotherhood. I've noticed how much members of this site feel led to share "big moments" in life, such as the birth of a child. Also, I've seen many ask for prayer and support through this site at times of tragedy. Most women can build friendship by sitting and chatting over a cup of coffee. Us fellas are different, we become friends by working, playing (hunting), and in extreme cases, struggling (military) together. The Bible is very clear about the brotherhood of believers, we need to emphasize it more I believe. Okay that's enough sermonizing...
