And low and behold... They took our deer! I don't think I've ever been so mad at a family member! And the worst part is, my nephew had to tell my dad because my sister and brother in law wouldn't, how chicken sh**! Anyone ever had a situation like this happen? </div></div>

Not really sure what you got to be angry with him about unless you had a verbal or written agreement that you were the only person allowed to hunt. It's more his ground than it is yours.

I can see where your coming from. Sounds like you've been after this same buck for a while and to have someone come out one time and put a slug in him has to be frustrating, unfortunately it wasn't your property. I let a friend hunt my property for a single doe, so he could have meat in the freezer. I found out later he filled his tag 45 minutes into 1st season shotgun, so he went out and bought more doe tags and hunted my land for the next three days, without permission. I thought I was clear about only taking one doe, unfortunately it wasn't clear to him! Oh well, I'm over it.

Frustrating yes but....

Your Deer. You bought him from a ranch. Fed him. Kept him pinned up until the season.

Sure you are talking family land but it belongs to your sister and brother in law. What have you done for him to help him out to deserve the right hunt there?

He obviously needed somewhere to cut wood to keep warm and was thoughtful enough to not go chopping down the timber you like to hunt.

I agree with wanting to see a pic...I'm really wondering if it was big enough to be that PO'd about!!! /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

yeah i did but it was me and a friend hunting and we had agreed not to hunt the property unless the other was there.we jumped an 8 point and between the 2 of us shot at least 13 times but missed every shot.now this sounds chilish but he made the agreement and i agreed.well i had to work the next day and he said that he'd just go to the drive in so i said ok.about 3 hours later he showed up at my work and sure enough still wore his camoflage and still had blood going a foot up his arm.i walked to the bed of the truck and seen the gleaming white antlers of the monster 8-that pissed me off so much
