When do you put in for a NR tag for iowa? Id like to put in for archery tag but ive heard you ca draw a ML tag faster is this true? Thanks fellas

MUCH easier to draw a MZL tag. Sometimes with NO Pref. Points. Archery in Zone 5,6 and maybe even 4 could take 3 points before you draw. You can hunt with a bow during the late MZL season.....just need some food and COLD weather.

Are you sure Non-residents can hunt late muzzleloader with a bow? For some reason I was thinking I had heard that you can't only residents have the options

When does yaws muzzle load season come in there? Here in western ky we have a 2 day early season that comes in middle of october jus for a saturday and sunday. Then we have a late season that comes in first weekend in December and goes out the next weekend.

Late muzzle loader starts the day after 2nd shotgun season, which is usually around the 18th of December, and runs till January 10. There are still gun tags available for zone 2. Just go online to Iowa dnr and purchase the gun tag.
