We had jackets made from deer hides we sent to Midwestern Sport Togs of Berlin, Wisconsin back in the late '80's. Also had a couple pairs of gloves made. Pretty sure they have closed their doors. I don't have pics handy, still have the jacket hanging in the closet.
The take home for me was that deer skin is fairly thin and easily damaged, both the gloves and jackets. The cost to have the coats made, even supplying them with the hides, was fairly expensive. We could have bought leather coats off the rack for the same price, but then we couldn't claim that we shot the "leather".
