BTW, Gregory's property is on the Whitetail Properties website. Someone said it wasn't, I looked today and found it.

this is my first post! i own property in se iowa as a nr,if they start letting more nr get a buck tag every year it will ruin iowa as we know it! it will make land prices go up as others have said, the quality of deer will drop due to nr not wanting to go home empty handed therfore shooting a 130. i can party hunt with a res now and get a bow tag every 3 years, which was fine when i bought my land and is fine now! if you want a tag every year hunt in illinois, ks or any of the other states whose hunting used to be as good as iowa!! that being said not sure how landowner tag would hurt a res because you cant hunt my land anyway, and that would keep me off yours.

Hey Cedar, I have been coming to Iowa for a long time and have gotten to know many Iowa residents well; those people include folks from all walks of life. They are astounded where rec prices have gone. I'm not persuading anyone, my comments are based on my experience in Iowa. Time will tell where the regs and laws are heading, only your legislators can answer that question for you.

Lastly, your tone is continually more adversarial. Cut back on the coffee, or go to decaf. Don't know your age but I can guess based on your grumpiness. I can still feel the love. :way:
If you don't like my tone; quit posting about what the nr landowner should or shouldn't have the right to do! If you don't like the hunting regulations in Iowa; hunt elsewhere. I'm sure Iowa will get along just fine without your dollars towards a hunting fee! I'm sick of hearing from you and other nr landowners complaining about the current deer hunting regulations! You should be able to purchase a sizeable acreage in Pennsylvania with the money you spent on your property in Iowa. And i'm sure some SOB will be thrilled to buy your property in Iowa.

In Illinois non residents have to own 40 acres to qualify to buy tags. Not sure of the cost anymore but they can buy tags every year.Iowa should have to do the same. Its called reciprocity and Iowa expects Illinois to co operate on other issues. How many acres must an Iowa resident own to get free tags?

If Iowa did this then every Tom, Dick and Harry would buy ground here once they knew they could get a tag every year and then it would be just like Illinois and Kansas. USED TO BE GOOD HUNTING!!!! If you want that deal buy land in Illinois and leave Iowa regs alone. Nuff said.

In Iowa a Resident must have at least 11 qualifying acres and must register to receive land owner tags.

Illinois residents have to own at least 40 acres to get free tags.Iowa would gain quite abit of revenue also if they would require more than 11 acres to qualify.I currently own 150 acres in southeast Iowa and have for 10 ten years so I am very familiar with Iowa

Hey cedar kiss my back side. You're incapable of having a civilized date. I'll get nasty as well if you so choose.
