I've never turkey hunted anywher but here in western, ky wer i live. I'd love to come out there and chase merriams. That is the specie in SD isnt it? All ive ever killed is a boat load of easterns. Ive always heard that hunting merriams an hunting easterns is a whole lot different. Yourh seaon here starts this morning and stays in till tomorrow evening. Then next saturday (April 6th) its time for the big boys. And boy are they ready, gobblin their heads off on roost and strutting like crazy. We should have a awesom season. When is the seaon in South Dakota? Maybe one day i can get the chance to come hunt out there. Is there much good puic ground to turkey hunt out there, that i'd have decent chances to kill a bird?
