Seems like turnips do work well but I like them better in corn then soys. Hard to get the turnips growing under the canopy early enough that they amount to anything.
Corn starts to dry down earlier and doesn't have such a dense canopy as beans.
I like rye in beans because it can be overseeded much later in the fall and still provide feed all winter into spring. WW shouldn't be much different if you have the seed. Especially if it came with the nannyslayer stamp of approval! /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif
