I'm not sharp enough to post pictures but enjoy all of yours. Our Britt, Buck, came from a shelter here about 2 months after we had to put our other Britt, Lady, down after a series of strokes. She had been our first inside dog and was so special that we had kind of decided not to get another for a while. Then my wife saw a picture of a Britt from the Heartland Shelter in the paper. My wife called right away but they were closing then and would not open till noon the next day. They said some people had looked at the dog that afternoon and might be back the next day. My wife, son, and I were there when they opened at noon and as soon as they brought Buck, then called Buster, out he came right to us and started to play and want attention. That started all 3 of us bawling. We took him outside for a little walk where he jerked the lead out my son's hand to chase birds in the schrubs. He locked up on a sparrow and allowed me to walk up to him and get the lead. Done Deal. Sign the papers and pay the fee cause he is going for a ride! He moved right in and adopted us and now lets us live in his house and drive his truck, and takes me bird hunting more often than ever before. He even recognizes one large grass field we hunt fairly often and starts fidgetting around when we get close and whines once I park along the road. Moral of the story is that good dogs can find themselves in bad places sometimes so check the shelters if you are looking for a dog.
