See what you guys think........ Last year my buddy and I set up 4 stands on some private property that I have hunted for the past 20 years. We went to hunt them in November to find that someone stole every one of them. It was pretty much obvious to us that they didn't take them down to use them but only because it appeared that they wanted to hunt this themself. Reason being, one of the stands was a hang on with a set of ladder sticks and the highest section of stick was still attached to the tree with the lower sections being completely gone.
So this year I go back to the same area to put up a stand with the intention of locking it on, Which doesn't make it impossible to steal, only a little more difficult.
I went to the exact same area where one of my stands was stolen last year (all cleared out with nice shooting lanes)and what a coincidence, there is a stand not 10 feet from the same tree mine was stolen from. Even has a stand lock on it.
So, do you guys think this is merely a coincidence or do you think like I do that whoever's stand this is, is the person I need to talk to about my stans disapearing last year. Trouble is, no matter what my gutt feeling is, I have no proof.
