Interesting. Havent dug a ton but these are the most negative issues I've read on them. I bought 2 when they were 99 a piece and have had 0 issues. 99 bucks for a cell cam seemed like a no brainer. Obviously pics aren't spartan or reconnyx quality but they do what I need them to.For what its worth...I bought 3 reveals last year. For the money the pics were decent(not great) but good enough to know if it is a big or little buck (if that makes sense) but if the deer is any further than 20 yards the pics really arent that good and difficult to tell what animal it is. Night pics are decent once again for the money. I had an issue with all 3 cams and had to send all back and even sent back a replacement camera. EVERY single camera got moisture behind the lens and after that happened you were screwed and had to send in for warranty. Now the warranty was very good and sometimes I even had a new cam within 2-3 days. I also had another camera not hold a battery at all and die within 2 days of installing brand new batteries warrantied that as well.
I heard the Reveal X did not change much on the water issue and really your only getting wifi capabilites(IMO who cares) and the ability to receive HD pics...
So I guess the question is would I buy this camera again....to be honest No. I wish I wouldve just bought 2 spartans instead. But I will continue to run the Reveals until the completely give out and are out of warranty and continue to upgrade to Spartans which are a far superior camera
you will be hard put to find them priced lower than 250. I just paid 265 for one a few days ago from a local dealer which is far cheaper than most box stores. But you do truly get what you pay for.Interesting. Havent dug a ton but these are the most negative issues I've read on them. Does spartan have more than 1 cam they offer or any at a price point lower than the 250 range? Only time I've ever inquired about them was through the local cellular dealership and they were around 300
I agree completely on the moisture issue. I havent had an issue with it and hadn't heard of it. Hopefully i just got luckyyou will be hard put to find them priced lower than 250. I did not mean to post my comments as a negative. I was just simply giving my experience with them. For a $100 camera they are pretty good, but I dont care if im paying $50 or $500, getting moisture behind the lens should never happen. Its literally built to go into the outdoors.
