Just got done watching the news and they said the first tax rebate checks will be sent out this week. 1200 dollars per household. 600 for me. /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cool.gif What are you guys gonna do with your check?
 
My better half is a certified bean counter so there's a good chance I won't even know when it hits our bank account but I'm usually pretty good at making withdrawls and asking for forgiveness later /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif.

Maybe a new .223 barrel for the encore so I can chase some prarie dogs this summer /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cool.gif.

And single, married, kids....
 
For most folks it will be:

$600 for single people
$1200 for married people
+
$300 per kid

A married couple with 2 kids should get $1800.

If you make really, really good coin you'll get less.

If your tax refund was direct deposited you'll have your money by May 16th at the latest. After 5/16 they'll start sending paper checks. All checks should be sent by mid July.
 
Thanks for the info Bukket. I just read a thing on Yahoo earlier and it said they are doing it early. The direct deposited ones will be started this week. The ones through mail will start may 9th.


I'm wondering how much of this money will be going to Casinos. They are going to be making a killing since people will still be able to smoke in casinos. Even after the July 1st smoking ban starts.

Maybe a good move....

I would rather see you put the money towards land payment than buying foreign produced products: JMHO.

mine will head to tuition, I'm sure I could think of many things to spend it on though /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif
 
a radio talk show the other day had some financial guru on there, and said not to spend it that the goverment was going to change laws this yr which you may not get back as much as you were if you were getting a refund, and most likley be paying into state.if you are paying state now, expect to pay more.i guess i dont trust our govt enough now, ill bank mine and act like i never had it to see how things pan out.ive lived without it this long, i can live without it longer.any thing for free usally will cost you down the road is what he said.as bad as i could spend it , im not.

Direct Deposit: Depending on the last two numbers of your Social Security Number, your rebate should be deposited by:

00-20: May 2
21-75: May 9
76-99: May 16

By Mail: Depending on the last two numbers of your Social Security Number, your rebate check should be mailed by:

00-09: May 16
10-18: May 23
19-25: May 30
26-38: June 6
39-51: June 13
52-63: June 20
64-75: June 27
76-87: July 4
88-99: July 11
 
Looks like a new exposed ag patio in the back yard for me. I love hauling wheel barrows full of mud!! (sarc)
 
Ours will be used to help finish building the house. That is if the rain ever stops long enough for me so I can finish the garage along with the other hundreds of things I have left to do. /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cry.gif
 
What I'd like to know is if the Gov has enough money to give it back to us, why in the hell did they take it in the 1st place?
