This is turning out to be one of the most effective way's to stalk turkey. I will repeat this as i do every time i talk about stalking a turkey with a turkey fan. This is Very Dangerous! And should only be used on privet land in a wide open field so you can see everything. I glassed 2 toms and a hen about a mile away out in the middle of a corn field. There was a valley below them that i knew i could get within 200 yards before they could see me so i started walking. Just like i thougt i got to within 200 yards and hid behind the fan and started creeping my way to them. i got to within 80 yards and one tom went out of strut and started to get a little pissed that i was moving in on his hen. All of a sudden the hen started moving to me and that was all it took to get the other tom out of strut and they both started running right at me. When they got to within 20 yards i let out a loud cut and the first tom stuck his head up and lead was a flying!:way:
21lbs
1.25 spurs
10.5 beard
Score of 67
Here is the set up i use.
As you can see i have a shooting stick mounted to the back. This works real good for the gun. I am going to try this with a bow next year.
