Found this yesterday, tossed a cam on it. Ended up going back later in the day and switched cams just due to memory capacity. I'm looking forward to seeing who shows up at the party.

Reid and I went out yesterday a.m to try kill a doe with a bow. No luck, he's too fidgety in the cold. This was about 20 yards into the timber off a field edge. I'm guessing with rifle season on that it was a rifle bullet and very little effort in following up. It appeared to have been dead less than day.

Nature is going to take it's course with the carcass I guess, I just figured I may as well see if I could get any cool pics as the buck gets scattered over the forest floor.

It's not legal to pick them up here. I have numerous trail cam pics of the buck, last yrs sheds and passed him up a couple times this yr.

So they must be shed out to pick them up? No skulls?

No skulls without a permit. You can get one but by the time I could get an officer out to the scene the buck will be long gone. I did go through the motions and get a permit last week as my class took a nature walk to examine a dead buck as part of a scavenger/decomposer/ecosystem activity.
