Thoughts on Rifle Season

Should hunters ever be able to hunt bucks with rifles here in Iowa??? Why or why not? I personally think not. Iowa is know for trophy bucks and a rifle season would tarnish that reputation after a couple of years. Shogun is enough trouble as it is! Just wanted some thoughts and opinions.

Oops, misread your post. I don't think rifle season for bucks is a good idea in Iowa.

I agree...the late HP season is bad enough!! No rifle seasons should be allowed in Iowa...period!

All rifle season will be is shoot bucks late . Thats how it will happen here. Anything big that gets away is toast for a long range shot.

Rifle season for any deer in Iowa is a horrible idea... If it becomes absolutly necessary it should be confined to Water Works Park and maybe Terrace Hill so that all those nasty metro deer can be elimated more efficently and I'm sure extra tags could be sold out in a hurry.
