Too many weeds

I have a question I hope someone can answer. I have a plot that is clover and chicory and too many weeds. I couldn't get it mowed in time to knock out the weeds and the clover\chicory stand is very light. Is there any spray that might be able to help it or should I just start over? My other spots really seamed to take off after I mowed but not this one. Any thoughts would be helpfull.

What type of weeds? Are they grasses like foxtail or broadleaves?

You can use Poast Plus for grasses, however it is expensive:

Source for Poast Plus

Weed Control in Forages

Use 2-4DB for broadleaves but I'm not sure if it will also kill the chicory.

Butyrac® 200

Unless it's a large area, mowing may still be your best bet. Frost will soon kill broadleaves and annual grasses like foxtail.

Gotcha, i thought you were talking about a weed eater type thing. That makes more sense now. It looks like a step up from my little half gal pump sprayer. But i think it may be a little overkill for my 1 acre plot.

nice but I think i'll stick to the pump sprayer. Pharmer's dad has a nice one that he pulls behind the lawnmower. I might have to see if he'll let me borrow it.
