Video of Hunting Ground

Here is a video that Farmer's National did for a piece of property I have.

Where would you guys put food plots and deer stands?
Any other ideas on this piece?
I thought about putting in some Riparian Buffer/Filter CRP strips. Any thoughts?

It is about 172 acres. There is a full quarter (160 acres) and then 12 acres I bought to get access to the property because there are no roads to the quarter. There is about 70 acres tillable.

Please right click and download: (or can capy and paste to the internet) if you can't just click on website.

Thanks Guys for Any Recommendations! Cory

WOW that is cool!

AS far as food plots go it looks like the best place to put them would be right in the middle of the place. The patches of timber are shaped like spokes of a wheel all taking the traffic to the middle of the property.

I think you should take the farm name from onecam and call that farm the hub. You have an absolutely gorgous farm and I love the video.

If anyone knows how I could get the technology to do the same thing I would appreciate it.

As far as food plots go I would try to place the food plots close to thick nasty cover where you can get in and out easily. I say thick because the closer food is to a possible bucks bedding area the better. Deer are lazy and if you can keep the pressure low and undisturbed you should see some action.

It will change things if you can get access from your neighbors as well because it looks like access wise you are pretty land locked. Another good spot may be where you have an open spot on top of the hill with timber surrounding it. But I would think access would be best coming from the neighbors.
Good luck

Beautiful piece of property for sure!
You can download Google Earth (free version) and do pretty much the same thing. You can also upgrade to other versions that let you measure, use GPS etc. The free version is a little blurry close up but I can see my foodplots (and the nieghbors

)
You can rotate, tilt, etc. great tool for property owners and looking over your hunting areas.

WOW, you have that ground just by ours! Awesome video, I'll have to try make one of our land! I would put lots in the bottoms, hard to tell without seeing it in person.

WOW! How do you get equipment in to farm it? It looks very steep. Are the ag fields row crop or hay ground. I think I would put a lot of it in alfalfa for the first couple of years and see where they like to come to the fields. Looks prettty dreamy to me. WOW!

ironwood-
We have some ground near there and it is STEEP! A guy died a few years back while farming on our ground, before we owned it. He was driving a tractor on a steep hill side in a cattle pasture and it rolled over! Dangerous but amazing to watch them farm the land!

Wherever you end up putting your food plots, I would make sure you had a good tree for any wind direction. That sure looks like an awesome spot. Good luck !
