What's your opinion on blood trailing dogs?

I have no idea what it would cost to bring in a dog and I doubt that even if there were someone who would do it for free I would call them until I felt I had done all I could on my own first. I just know how bad it feels to lose a deer, and unpopular as it will be with the purists, yes it does hurt worse when it's a big buck because they are so hard to come by.

As far as calling in a tracking dog everytime you shoot a deer is a ridiculous claim imo. I highly doubt hunters will dish out that kind of cash. But from being a hunter, im sure the majority of hunters would agree that there is a time in every hunters "career" they've lost a deer. It could have been big or small. But whos to judge a person who calls in the help of a dog? There comes a point to any hunter where it's worth the fee for the aid of a dog imo.
