    Switchgrass

Here's the spot now. I see no grass growing yet. And it's still quite clean. Would anyone just let it go at this point? Or still get atrazine down?

    Switchgrass

Wow! Thanks for the tip. Yeah I fell behind and then had the memory that Bigrock germs at colder soil temps although I can't find info yet. I'm going to look at it 1st. We've been mowing grass for a couple weeks.

    Switchgrass

I had kinda forgot about your warning of being careful with spring burn down. I wanted to hit this spot today with atrazine and intended to spray gly also. Is there a chance the RC Big Rock has sprouted? I'm I-80 corridor. The fields been too wet to spray and probably still is, but about to...

    Favorite Fall Brassica?

Tillage radishes and PTT are that's needed here. I'd actually like trying something that they like a little less, just so they leave it alone until winter just to help them get by.

The other side of the argument

It's beneficial to mow grass waterways. While I do not have my road ditches looking like golf courses, I do mow them a couple times a year. Around here, scumbags dump their tvs and furniture just off the shoulder. Country roads are narrow. I don't want anyone's grandma blasting something large...

I don't watch his show often, but the way he talked once or twice this past season, he may be interested in buying it back.

    Beans and corn together

Even if your corn has sat in the hot shed the past couple years, likely it's still good. But I'd test it anyway, just so you're not out a bunch of time and effort.

    Land prices / insane!!!

My opinion, over here in my part of Class A+ IL soils, is that most farms are bought with loans. With 15-20K sales, the only ones that aren't are random 1031 exchanges.

    Acuron here too.

    Land prices / insane!!!

That's an interesting point, but my first thought was, who will buy their up north farms void of nearly all wildlife other than wolves? Most people would have to sell in order to relocate.

The other side of the argument

Yes, as well all know most farmers have a strong dislike of deer. I just thought that thread hit if from a different angle this time, showing the loss of human life and well being, primarily, and financial loss through wrecked cars. Around here, most the farmers who own timber or rougher...
