Good words to save money by.
I have been shooting 100 grains of loose 777, and the Barnes 250 grain MZ expanders loyally with the...
Tested zero before this season like always.
Knight MK-85 with 100 grains of 777 and Barnes 250 grain MZ expander saboted bullets at 100 yards. Tasco 3x9 World Class optics.
It is a one shot - one kill machine.
I bought this Ruger Super Redhawk .44 last year and put a Bushnell Red Dot on it. I got a deer with it first time out. I am not a handgunner by nature, but I enjoyed the opportunity and think this is a good value setup.
I bought a 7:1 block & tackle at Theisens this fall for $12.
Has been it in a tree in my yard all season.
Seems to be working fine, used it twice this week at sub zero temps.
My 8 year old granddaughter can hoist a deer by herself.
I swore the same oath several years ago, and agreed to take the bitter with the sweet. After I toured the world I came back here to the land of many freedoms
Congratulations!
Glad you came home to hunt, and had a good time.
Thank you for your service and protecting the the rights of the finatic liberal that called the mayor on me the other day for having a deer hanging in my tree on my property. What a great country!
As far as I'm concerned we should attemp to harvest at least one doe every season we hunt where the deer numbers are good. With the HUSH program there is no reason to quit hunting just because the freezer is full at home. We hunters need to focus on the does as much as the bucks, if not more. If...
I went to Danner Frontier's when Rocky quit making the Stalker 600's. They seem to be working good for me. I have 3 pairs for Iowa Hunting, uninsulated, 400 & 1000 gram.
I don't know why these companies think they need to reinvent the wheel, but I guess it catches our attention and $$$. My...
Re: Private Land & "The Book"
It really does'nt matter. We have put such a high value on score that we have to question what was done to accomplish the feat.
I don't mind anyone benefitting from my tax dollars to have to work a little bit to receive them. aka some restrictions on how that benefit is utilized.
I have one also that I picked up in a favorite artifact hunting spot, I have also found semi-fossilized bones in this area. This tooth is very dense. My guess is mammal of some sort. Sounds like you have a real outdoors addict developing there.
My daughter has been working in Iraq for the last 3 years in support of our most excellent troops that are serving there. She travels all over and this "Filth" is pretty typical of Mid East culture from what she says.
She just got back from a trip to Israel, and said it was cool to see the...
You know I am very surprised by many of the comments here. If I did not know better, I would think that the sun rises and sets on us bowhunters and muzzleloader hunters.
What if our season was only a week long and we had really bad weather?
I have only been bowhunting in Iowa for 37 years...
If it is queit, I try dropping my fanny pack or some off the wall noise like others have suggested. If it is windy or really dark, I don't worry too much about it. Just get down and go.
Re: Do you wear Scent Control clothing while hunti
Negative, I don't want anything to hide my 100% human in heat odor. It costs me too much to create it.
