    Off topic: Turkey numbers

Have any of you noticed a decline in turkey numbers the past couple of years? I used to see flocks of 20-35 birds regularly in the fall and would see turkeys almost every time in the stand. This year the most I've seen is 5 birds at once and only see birds about 25% of the time. The numbers...

    Moultrie Cam

I've got one of their 4.1's....but paid $149 for it (timing is everything!). I would recommend a 256mb SD card for it which will hold 1,711 pictures on the normal resolution (preferably 2 cards so you can swap them out). Without a card it is a pain to get pics off of the moultries.

    people make me sick!!!!!!

Just out of curiousity, I wonder what their stance is on mountain lions or coyotes or any other predator? Are they "evil" or "bad" animals too? On their best day, they are barely smart enough to be idiots!

    First double crop

Following a suggestion I got from this site, I tried my first "double crop" of sowing rye into the beans in August (thanks for the tip guys!). The rye has come in pretty good. The deer are just now hitting the beans the last 2-3 weeks. Looks like they will last well into January at the...

    jan. season

I did last year - more for the novelty of being able to take to the woods with a rifle. The doe I did shoot was at less than 40 yards so a rifle was certainly not needed! The challenge is to be sure not to shoot any shed antler bucks that late in the year.

    "Popeye"

Thanks for the input guys. Trust me, I"ll take him if I get the chance! I assume he's blind in that eye or has really bad cataracts. I suspect he is older too - I thought at least 4.5. I've had him at 30 yards twice in the past 2 weeks but both times were with too low of light and after...

    "Popeye"

I've got 6 night pictures of this buck and his left eye never reflects the camera flash (thus earning him his nickname of "popeye"). Any estimate as to how old he his or what he would score?
