A little early

Man, I just pulled two ticks off me. Them suckers are getting an early start this year.

I live in the county that has the higest numbers of lyme disease in the nation. A lot of people I know have had it and a couple died from it including a friend's wife who fell over dead at 38 while playing with her 2-year-old son. I never used to have much of an issue with ticks, but I have become pretty paranoid about them now.

They better be able to swim real good by me right know.

Lots of water from the recent melting snow.

Question, if they wake up, and it freezes, like it is going to, does it kill what has already woke up?

[/ QUOTE ]

Nope!!

I bet the quail, pheasant, and turkeys are glad to see them out ...

I hate it when I find a little grape growing where the sun don't shine about a month after turkey season ...

You've never seen anyone afraid of ticks like my wife. Last turkey/mushroom season was a bad one for me and ticks. One night she woke up and had one crawling across her face. Needless to say after that we had "new rules" as to where hunting clothes will be removed and kept after wearing them. The bedroom wasn't one of those places.
