What kind of crappy web program is that. Jeez, they should have me do the programming for them. I could automate the whole system
bucks, does, meat is meat. As long as I shoot it myself, im happy. I just put the buck thing out there as an idea. Being creative here.

What makes you think that? He has plainly said that he eats all of the deer he shoots. He just likes to actually shoot the deer he eats, instead of having them shot for him. I see nothing wrong with this.

Not everyone needs to or cares to be the almighty trophy hunter. I have been here a long time and have never felt this site to be exclusive to certain types of hunters.

Greg came on here and said that he loves to hunt, has his own tags, his area is low on deer numbers, and is willing to hunt with you and give you a rack off a buck that he kills allfor the right to fill some tags and take the meat home. Not an unreasonable offer IMO. Infact, if I were allowed to do so, I would happily let you come to my hunting spot and thin out the doe numbers here. Unfortunately, I can't.
I am very sorry I misread Greg's original post.I thought it said that he is looking for someone to let him shoot bucks on thier land.For the meat.I also thought he posted that he has 5 deer tags for the gun seasons.

Whats wrong with wanting to kill a lot of deer? If population supports it and its legal nothing wrong with that.

I have 17 deer tags, spread across the seaons, and hope to fill them all. I just love to hunt, donate most of the meat to HUSH, keep one for myself, and give the others to people who like venison but are not hunters. If Greg wants to shoot lots of deer, let him have at it! I also do not see the dwindling deer numbers some other seem to be expierencing and will keep shooting them until the landowner says otherwise.

Thx Iowa Buckeye Probably one of the best pieces of text in this thread. The idea of ever getting a random population of people to converse on a web site, and agreeing on all aspects is very ignorant. If Greg is harvesting deer in a legal and ETHICA manner.… have at it! However, I would not come back in a year and join the list of people complaining about a decrease in deer numbers. Clearly, all of us should have more foresight then that of an 8 year old upset that the cookie jar is now empty.

I'm going to try and take out 20-25 does late season this year. Hope I do, because the area I am in needs a ton of deer shot. Now, I'm going to sugar coat this for you as well........

Archery95, I don't know your real name, but mine is clearly Greg Bickal. If you were to meet me in person, Im hoping you would have a different opinion of me. I am an honest and ethical hunter.
Yes, I like to hunt and kill deer, but no more than I can eat. Last year I shot 6 deer.
which yelded around 200lbs of meat. I do give some hamburger to my dad who is retired and cannot bow hunt anymore because of bad shoulders. He gives me catfish in exchange that he has caught in the river.
Also last year I found a injured doe along the side of the road near my home that was hit by a car. I called the Sherriff and he put her down. I took it home and butchered it and ate it. That ment there was one less deer that I shot last year.
I also give 30 pounds of meat to the landowner who allows me to hunt on their land. Thats almost an entire deer. On average it takes me 4 hours to butcher a deer, cut steaks vaccum package, etc. Sometimes it takes me hunting every day all week to get one deer, so donating that deer is huge effort on my part.
I am on this board to learn from experienced hunters, and proper herd management is one of the factors I am trying to learn more about. I am listening to the "population is low" comments and I agree it is low in my area. I still want to fill my freezer, so rather than push my area too the brink of exaustion I am trying to find areas that have excessive numbers of deer and see if I can work some deals.
I am one of the orange clowns that doesnt want to shoot young bucks, I want to let them grow, but for those guys that do care about horn, I need to get my meet from somewhere, Id rather it be mature management bucks or excessive does.
