You could build two dozen pipelines from Canada to here, or drill, drill, drill, and drill some more. It won't help prices.:( We aren't using all the oil we get currently, as our wonderful oil companies are exporting gas to other countries! If the oil companies had more oil to refine into gas, they would export even more to countries like China.

All i can say is bring back clinton, he got the job done in more ways than one :wink wink: can anyone else think of a better economy than when bill was in office? So he got a hummer what guy in america hasnt lol or hasnt tried? Just my thoughts

Ok and thats the reason why 90% of the voters in my eyes vote for the wrong guy. Look at the facts look at what he accomplished in office not his personal life, what happens to a ceo or president of a company when he tells a lie ir cheats on his wife? NOTHING!!! AND THE COMPANY CONTINUES TO FUNCTION! im not saying cheating is ok or right cause its not im saying people need to mind there own business and look at his WORK performance and thats whats wrong with the country now a days people think they need to know everything about everyone the man did his job greatly obama blows a million dollars every month to throw a party in the white house he caters and hires a dj the whole 9 yards but hey thats your tax dollars. He focused so much on killing bin laden which yes was a great accomplishment but he isnt focusing on the billions of dollars in drugs being brought into this country and so on and so on. And thats jenga!

Oh you mean the people who knew they couldnt afford it, and thats exactley why they were trying to get loans cause they didnt have money in the first place, how is it his problem some people cant handle there finances or they need help and he gave it to them without causing the country to go broke? Nice retort

People have very short memories. Gas prices were higher under Bush than they ever were under this new guy. I don't really think pipelines, ANWR, or offshore drilling have much to do with any of it. All that production is sold on the open market, and wouldn't have decreased prices much if at all. Meanwhile, oil companies everywhere are sitting on a plethora of untapped reserves... waiting for the right time in which they can profit the most.

Where to start.....Gas prices where most definately not higher under Bush. There was a short lived peek but not the sustained levels that we are seeing. 2. Tapping into our domestic reserves has proven to almost automatically lower gas prices. It has happened several times and prices immediately went down any where from 8% to 33%. As far as oil companies sitting on untapped reserves, I don't know any stats so I can't say but I find it hard to believe that as greedy as they are that they are 'sitting' on anything. More like they are held up by government regulations. Like it or not government controls everything and if Obama is reelected they will keep controling more and more.....communism:a)stage of socialism to be charactorized by a classless and stateless society and equal distribution of economic goods b)form of government professing to be working towards this stage by means of state planning and control of the economy with an emphasis on it's own requirement rather than individuals' liberties. Obama and Dems in general want to control everything from your money to your guns. By taking more and more of our paychecks and redispursing it in the form of welfare, foodstamps etc. they are taking more and more control of the economy which in my book is a form of communism. JMO

So why the bailout???? It's not our falt as tax payers that they could not manage thier money.
