People . . . please stop it !!! I appreciate being a part of this site, and I absolutely love the stories, photos and wisdom that get exchanged in the various forums. With that said - so many of you are driving me nuts with all the non-stop arguing. Differences of opinions have existed since Adam met Eve (a little biblical assumption, there
). However, there is a right and wrong way to handle that. The non-res/tags/leasing/land ownership debates are not going to go away. I understand that, and can see both sides. But, please give it a rest sometime. And if you can't do that, please be careful what you type in response. One idea is to check your own posts that you have made within the last couple months - see if they are primarily in the 'arguing' threads, or are better balanced with posts in various other threads.
This is NOT an Iowa versus the world site - although it may appear that way sometimes when the non-res issues come up. Maybe it's the cabin fever syndrome, or maybe it's because we're kinda in between hunting seasons. Whatever the reason, I have two requests - please get back to hunting issues that made this site great. And please be civil in what you say here. Sometimes the greater act is to just shut up. That has worked for me here a number of times. And when I do post, I try to watch what I say so that if I ever meet the other person, I won't have reason to feel awkward.
I'm not trying to get warm fuzzys going here, but I sure would like to see some of the rhetoric tamed down. People on this site tend to be VERY passionate about their deer hunting, and that can lead to all kinds of 'interesting' comments.
Final thought - I really don't mind if no one responds to this post. They are just one person's opinions and views. I will be very ticked if you use this thread to take jabs at the 'other side', or to stir the pot on any existing debates. Just think before you type.
Okay . . that's all I have to say about that. Thanks for letting me vent !
