Something new...

Those last few look pretty "bucky" to me. I'd say you better put on the mud boots this weekend and gets some pics posted in the shed forum!

I agree, those last 3 all look like bucks to me. I've noticed that the bucks, even shed bucks, dont seem to like to share their food with the does. The skin heads usually split, sometimes they need a little nudge.

Sorry to "horn" in on your post Paul!

Not much "new" at the ole feeder these days...

Just lots of "plain ole deer"

I'm thinking it will be a great place to test my new homebrews by placing them 2-3 at a time in the same spot.

Make it easy to test them before they end up on trails somewhere.

Dang corn is expensive though

Hauled this self feeder home for a friend (now there is a deer feeder

Dang thing was 1/2 full of corn...

He feeds out freezer beef with no hormones etc. and this corn had some pellets in it with antibiotics etc. in it...so he was just going to throw it out....

Long story short...I brought home several truck loads of free corn!

DAAAANG, now that's a deer feeder! Strap a few hundred bungees on that baby and it's the worlds largest shed trap.

Congrats on the "pots o' gold" too.

Re: Testing the new home brews

Nothing like getting the first pics off the new homebrews!

Good feeling to know we put them together right and they actually work!

Even if all you get is midnight bandits:

and daytime tree rats:

One of these days I'm gonna get somethin cool like a bobcat!

I'm like a kid on Christmas morning pluggin the memory sticks in...to see what I "caught"

I'm learning about placment...facing the cam towards an opening, down the trail works well...they always stop before moving into the open, even at night.

Sometimes I'm not sure if I have some flash bleed or if it's just frosty?

FlashBleed.jpg

Same cam (I put flash bleed washers in all my cams) this pic seems fine

Always the unexpected...

Had to look at this one for a second...

Tooclose.jpg

I set one up on the "feed trough" just to test the cam, storage capicity of the 512 sticks and battery life.

449 pics in less then a week...not really sure if that is max or not.

I've been using lithium batteries and those things will last literally thru thousands of pics even in severe cold weather!! (beats the heck out of "low battery" every morning on the Moultrie

)

There's always something unique:

I think it's time to set up to catch some strutters now!
