What kind of crops do you guys grow on the tillable? Went fishing in Saskatchewan a couple times. It was always interesting seeing and trying to figure out what the different crops were on the drive up and back.

In this area we can grow 150bu/ac oats, 100 bu/acre barley, 70-80bu/acre wheat, 55bu/acre canola, 60 bu/acre dry peas, 4t/acre hay. All spring sown. Further south they'll grow chickpeas, flax, lentils, durum, fall rye and winter wheat.

Any land that comes up, isn't available for long. This quarter didn't even come on the market. Found out about it by word of mouth. He told us what he wanted and because it touches our land on two sides, we gave him what he was asking. Believe it or not, that's twice what land here was worth ten years ago.
