The first three years you can mow any time during establishment. After that you can spot mow during the nesting season to address invasives. You just need to let FSA know.
The Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) is not explicitly mentioned in the "Big Beautiful Bill" (H.R. 1). The bill focuses on budget reconciliation and includes provisions for agricultural conservation, but it does not address CRP specifically, according to the Center for Agricultural Law and Taxation. CRP is set to expire at the end of 2025.
They will need to pass a farm bill. Last one was 2018.

Looks like they did, includes changes to crp, PLC/ARC, Crop Insur, base acres, etc.... Not sure I understand what all of it means myself. For Example: a reduction in spending from conservation programs (-$1.8 billion, FY2025-2034), interaction effects (-$3.6 billion) and sequestration (-$2.2 billion). I heard they wanted to reduce NRCS dollars for helping people with program implementation efforts, I assume that's the "interaction efforts"? Sequestration application? Don't know....

The 2018 Farm bill had roughly 59.7 billion for Conservation programs. If I understand what you posted correctly the CRP program as a whole took a 12.73% haircut. 7.6/59.7=12.73..........I think we can live with that.Look

Again, if I understand correctly it looks like SNAP the largest budget item in the Farm Bill took a 28.00% haircut. 185.9/663.8=28
The Farm bill as a whole took about a 13.86% reduction. 120.25/867.2=13.86%

I read somewhere else that the NFA will end 1-1-26 since it came into existence due to being a tax. But now that it is no longer a tax.....
