Muddy I don't know if you got your question answered here yet or not, but I know a site that caters specifically to the homebrew camera guys. You may want to post your question there as well because there are a lot of super smart camera guys on there that may be able to help you with your...
The P32 camera that I took the picture of the buck with cost me about $200. I like also like using the homebrew cameras because if for some reason I don't have the camera out in the woods I can take the camera out and use it as a point and shoot camera. Mine doesn't come out of woods very...
To be honest I would buy a homebrew camera or build one yourself. There not very hard to make and you can get a much better camera IMO for about the same price you're going to pay for a commercial camera. Here are some pictures off a homebrew.

Pics of Big bucks like that really get me excited for the upcoming season. Thank you very much for sharing your pics with all of us. I hope you get an opportunity at one of those PIGS this season :)
My Dad drew a tag for this year, but mine shows 1 pref. point...so looks like I didn't draw this year.
Question for you guys. Is it okay for me to go down and video my Dad hunt if all I am doing is videoing and I am not assisting in the hunt in anyway?
According to IA DNR pre-recorded message the results are suppose to post online on July 18th. Good luck to your Non-Res. friends. I'm hoping to draw a tag this year as well :)

Eneloops
I would go with the Eneloops. A lot of guys on the homebrew forums really push these. They work for long time and they work well in the cold.

I tried this as well and it didn't turn out as well. Its very brittle and is close to falling apart. Are you suppose to take out the large wing bones with the joints?
I had great response with a buck decoy this past weekend in North Central Iowa. I had 7 different bucks come into the decoy. All bucks were smaller then I would of liked <= 2.5 yrs old. I had the decoy facing directly at me and all bucks stood broadside to me when approaching the decoy at...
I hunted North Central Iowa this past weekend. I had a lot of luck calling in conjunction with buck decoy. I passed 7 different bucks all were smaller younger deer though. I did not see any shooters. It was 70's degrees this weekend so I think that might have had some impact on things. Hoping...
I went down to Iowa this past weekend and hunted. It seems like where I am hunting (North Central) things really haven't heated up yet. I am seeing a lot of rubs and scrapes popping up every where, but no chasing or searching by the bucks I saw. I passed a 125"-130" Saturday night that I...
