Perhaps try some white lithium grease? I don't know what kind of scent this would put off, but I'm sure that it will take care of the problem, otherwise there is a powder that is used for lubrication... but the name is escaping me at the moment. I'd give about anything a shot, the small amount...

Very Cool Ghost!! I have had that happen numerous times in Canada when I'm reeling in a 14-18" walleye, but never had one hold on for very long. Then a guy grabs a pike lure and tosses it forever and can't get um to hit.

Fantastic!!! I still remember my 1st trip to Canada... my dad still says I'm spoiled. But when your hoisting in 4-5 lb walleye without the net... yeah he's probably right! That's a memory he's gonna have forever, well done!

Thanks there fella's.... just wish I could have caught her bout the 1st of March... guessing she would have gone 9-10 with a belly full of eggs. We fished that area pretty hard all spring... today was the 1st time I've been out for about 4-5 weeks... slow day but catching her and letting her...

Went fishing with my neighbor this morning.... long story short... only caught one fish. Only fish caught was a pretty nice one tho... Fish was released after pictures... Gotta leave some for next year!

Yup... I got lots of practice in this year chasing them there gobblers... But it's a good warm up for the Rendezvous.
