Just a thought to all that read this post. There have been about 95 post in regards to this issue. Alot of the post's including the ones that I have responded to was to give some thought to how we feel about the subject. There has been some discussion on both sides. Mostly the post's lately...
180bc,
I don't think not using the land supresses the value. I almost started to laugh at that thought. As a matter of fact all the hardwoods I have in my timber just keep making me money as they continue to grow, especially the walnuts if I ever decided to sell them.
I know for a fact that...
I think you are missing the point. We as serious hunter recognize that there are some deer that need to be harvested.
We just don't need your help doing it.
We will do just fine without opening up the flood gates to produce another Illinois. Resident hunters purchased 46,000 more antlerless...
Deerslayer 37,
What is way to many. Give me a number.
Do you have a clue. I believe I due.
Shoot us a number so we can see what you think is to many. How do you come up with the analogie that there are to many. What do you base your to many response on? I personally am getting tired of...
deerslayer 37.
You obviously have not spent much time reading any of the issues related to non resident land owner's. Just because you own land-- What makes you think you should be entitled to a tag.
You want a tag to hunt every year? Move to Iowa. Why do you want to hunt Iowa anyway? It...
Amen to that Limb! Sorry I just couldn't help myself after saying that I was done with this topic. I just can't help myself because it is getting so commical. Well said Fletch! I'll go to war with you guys any day.
Trper
This an issue that whe have been talking about for years and it seems like the same old argument from res and non res alike. We will continue to let our feeling be known to our legislature's about this issue. They will eventually decide whether it stays the same or changes on a year to year...
Come on now! Let's keep this in perspective!!!! This is not a nr vs r situation. Also jdubs, we are not battling to keep nr out. We are maintaining a management perspective as well as a realistic position to maintain a balance for the average resident hunter who lives here in this state. Alot...
180bc,
I respect your opinon and your idea on
how to help solve the problem butI do not agree with you that the current sytstem will not prevail.
We will continue the strong fight for all that we have worked so hard to accomplish. Every state has the right to do what they see fit to protect...
Just my opinion but the deer population is not the problem. The problem lies with the driver. People do not drive defensively enough these days. They spend to much time talking on cell phone and looking somewhere else besides the roadway. How many deer have you hit lately? I have hit only...
If there is a reward fund please advise.
Would like to donate. If enough money is raised it may entice someone to come forward that might not normally do so.
What a shame! Good luck Brian.
