    Turkey draw

Getting a little antsy. Only applied one other time about 10 years ago. Do they put the draw results up on the web site like deer or send you results in the mail? I think I have a slam dunk with a point in zone 2 but never can tell. Got a bunch of Toms waiting on me to come up in May!!:drink2:

    2012 is gonna be awesome!

Buddy of mine who is a longtime deer/turkey guide in Western Iowa invited me to go in on his lease this year. Went up there(from Okla) Memorial weekend to check it out. I am overwhelmed ! This land has it all. Showed me trail cams with bucks from last year. (140's to 180's ) Now all I have to...

    albino spotted

My brother called me last night on his way to a softball tourney and said he saw a couple hundred deer between Omaha and Des Moines and one was an albino doe just off I-80 at Menlo. He thought all the rain pushed them to higher ground. Anybody traveling thru there keep your eyes open and maybe...

    New experience

I was at my friends farm yesterday hunting deer. (rifle season) Didn't see a deer but I had a horned owl land in the tree 10 feet away. I froze and watched him for about 10 minutes. Made my day. Anybody else have an owl in thier lap?

    Lost the honey hole.

Found out tonight my favorite spot in the world to hunt and watch deer has a house going up on it. The only chance I have is to hope the new owners don't like to hunt but like hunters. My experience in this area (Hwy 141 in the Loess hills) is I won't have much of a chance. Good news is I have...

    Upcoming Doe Drawing

I think I know the answer but I'm asking anyway. If you draw a buck tag does that eliminate you from getting a doe tag the same year also? The does are everywhere on the land I hunt. Not getting greedy just thinning the does out a little if I can.

    bearded hen

One of my hunting buddies shot a bearded hen last weekend. It was 8" long. How many have shot one, and is 8" unusual or normal for a hen? I'll be up 4th season to try to fill my tag.My scanner is broke so no picture, sorry.
